“If you’ve ever met Hugo, you know that he is the definition of passion. You can sense it in his eyes, in his movements, in his voice, he is that magical performer, that exceptional soul that cannot help but express humanity.”

Hugo is a portuguese actor and started his artistic life taking piano lessons, at 5 years old, at the conservatoire in France. He continued his musical studies throughout the years. He took a degree in Media, and after a basic course, he dived into the images world and became a professional photographer for about 10 years. After that, he started his cinematographic odyssey in 2001, producing and starring in an experimental short film called “Nós”, directed by Fernando Rui and selected for Fantasporto. The love for film has grown, and in 2002 he moved to New York to study acting. There, he made several short films as lead and supporting actor. Meanwhile he studied in several workshops of Film, Theatre, Television and Performance. Then, after some more years in Portugal, he moved to London. Hugo has been working in different areas such as features, shorts, theatre, music videos, commercials and as a model for fashion shoots. He’s native portuguese and french speaker, fluent in english and spanish, medium in italian and basic in polish. An actor with a vast multicultural background, he continues to pursue this challenging craft.
